Time Of My Life

COACHELLA! COACHELLA!! COACHELLA!!! That is all anybody could talk about for the last few weeks and with good reason. I have been looking forward to this weekend since our drive home from last year's festival. My absolute favorites were Ellie Goulding by far, Calvin Harris, Kid Cudi, Grouplove, and Lorde. The thing I enjoyed even more than seeing and hearing artists that I know and love was being introduced to amazing bands I had never heard of like MS MR, The Naked and Famous, and Disclosure. Every year I leave with a grocery list of must-download-immediately songs.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is best summed up as an experience more than an event. Whether you popped a molly, smoked a joint, or simply soaked up too many sun rays, you got a high from the live music alone. There was no recording studio to hide behind or amphitheater acoustics to really on. It was just live raw talent exploding with excited energy. All of the artists are so humbled to be there and glowing with gratitude just to be able to grace this famous stage. They continually thank everyone. It really makes you feel like a part of something. One band in particular that BLEW. MY. MIND. was Haim. Those girls can rock.

The Coachella crowd is full of people on the same happy wavelength and just there to enjoy themselves. I met so many random people from all over the world but in this festival fairyland we were all one. We danced and laughed and sang at the top of our lungs with our hands in the air. It was beautiful.

I had a wonderful time with some of my very best friends as I do every year and I can't wait for the next one.
