Have Love, Will Travel

Our good friends got married in Miami, Florida on the same date as our 2nd wedding anniversary. We couldn't refuse the opportunity to take a roadtrip, We left Champaign, Illinois and first headed to Nashville, Tennessee.  We had to drive through Kentucky to get there and ended up stopping for gas so it totally counts.

We made it safely to Nashville and our first stop The Bluebird Cafe, then Martin's BBQ, followed be a trip to one of the "I Believe in Nashville" murals.

Pretty much every house in Nashville is a studio.

After Tennessee we went to Huntsville, Alabama. We walked around the Nasa Space and Rocket Center.

Our car is a 1996 Honda Accord with 275,000 miles so we weren't surprised when we had car trouble. We parked our car at the Huntsville airport, rented a different one and hit the road for Atlanta, Georgia. I didn't get a picture of the "Welcome to Georgia" sign. I was asleep. Sad face.

After Georgia we stopped in Orlando, Florida. We strolled through Downtown Disney and had dinner at Paradiso 37. We also got Cotton Candy at Midnight in honor of our anniversary. Year two is cotton.

On March 14th we finally made it to Miami for Paul and Alyssa's Pi Day Wedding!!

The next day we took a very quick tour around Miami. We had lunch at Versailles in Little Havana and the walked around Wynwood Walls. Miami is soooooooooooo hot. I hate being hot. Wywood Walls Art District was super cool but also super hot. I really wish I would have taken more photos but the sun fried my brain.

Our final major stop was Sarasota, Florida to see Jim's cousin Lynn. We stayed the night in her beautiful house on the lagoon.

This is Audrey. The prettiest cat I ever did see.

By this point we were pretty ready to be home with our sweet Harper Snow. She was pretty excited to see us! I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to see new things and drive through places I had never been. Here's to the next road trip!!

Isn't she precious?
